About the role

In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: experience of the licensing policies and procedures in order to determine compliance with appropriate rules and regulations of the Commission or experience and general knowledge of fuel cycle activities and assists senior staff in developing recommendations for proposed rules and legislation. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Demonstrated knowledge of the physical sciences and the nuclear fuel cycle sufficient to understand a variety of technical terms and considerations encountered in assigned export/import licensing tasks. [Describe education, training and/or experience in applying these physical sciences]. Demonstrated knowledge of U. S. nuclear trade and non-proliferation policy and nuclear export relations with other countries. [Describe experience or training in U.S. nuclear trade and export policies]. Demonstrated experience in performing independent evaluations and reviews of licensing issues and nonproliferation-related activities. [Describe experience or training in licensing, including, evaluations and analysis of licensing issues that you have performed.]. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to articulate complex issues in simple and clear terms. [Describe experience in applying written and oral skills, both internally and externally.] Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relations within an organization and with other government agencies, and stakeholders for the purpose of exchanging information on technical or policy subjects, soliciting and summarizing relevant information, program coordination, or reconciling differing views and opinions.
