About the role

In this role, you will support the implementation of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives at plant level. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve processes, analyze operational performance, and contribute to manufacturing excellence projects while developing your Lean Manufacturing knowledge and practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of Operational Excellence (OpEx) initiatives across the site
  • Participate in manufacturing and supply chain improvement projects
  • Support shop floor activities and operational excellence programs
  • Take part in Gemba walks to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Assist in the application of Lean tools such as 5S, Visual Management, Standard Work, and basic problem-solving techniques
  • Support the preparation and execution of Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops
  • Collect, monitor, and analyze process performance data and KPIs
  • Prepare reports and presentations to track progress of improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain
  • Support process documentation, standardization activities, and best practice implementation
  • Contribute to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the plant
  • ABOUT YOU
  • University degree (or currently pursuing a degree) in Engineering, Management Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence
  • Basic understanding of project management principles
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluent Italian and good English skills, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies is considered a plus

As Continuous Improvement Intern , you will support the deployment of Operational Excellence initiatives within our manufacturing site, contributing to process improvement and operational efficiency projects. Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing methodologies within an international industrial environment. The role is based at our production site in Zola Predosa (BO) , with occasional travel opportunities within the Division when required.
