About the role

The incumbent serves as the Health Application Services Office (HASO) supervisory lead and reports directly to the IMS Chief. HASO is a national program affecting all IHSC staff. The primary function of the supervisory lead is to provide administrative and operational oversight of the IHSC electronic health record system portfolio. This position is only open to USPHS officers who are currently IHSC employees. USPHS Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates are not eligible for this position. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 2 years of Health IT experience or familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare workflows Ability to provide input for contract documents, including Performance Work Statements (PWS), Statements of Work (SOW), and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP), and to effectively communicate contract requirements and processes. Knowledge of medical, administrative, ethical and legal requirements and standards related to healthcare delivery and the privacy of protected patient information preferred. High degree of initiative, and follow-through on a wide range of sensitive, complex, and programming issues.
