The Louis Dreyfus Company are currently recruiting for the full-time position of Assistant Ginner, based at our Emerald site. This position is responsible for the efficient, effective and safe operation of all areas under their control. Whilst based in Katherine, this position may require travel to work at other LDC gin sites as required. Remuneration range will be tailored to the level of the role and to the individual depending on qualifications, experience, and knowledge. Relocation expenses can also be negotiated (if required). Key responsibilities will be but not limited to: Gin operation and safety Assist in maintaining the physical appearance of the gin site Maintenance - constantly monitor and maintain machinery and equipment to the highest standard to facilitate continuity of production and quality. Employee supervision Work permits - Assist ginner and site management with ensuring work permits are completed for all high-risk activity Essential skills Mechanical experience or trade background Ability to identify/control weaknesses in process and implement best practices Self-starter with the ability to work independently takes initiative and challenges when required Good work ethic and team player Ability and willingness to interact effectively with all levels of employees and external stakeholders Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy Desired but not essential skills Prior experience supervising staff in a maintenance/production environment Sound computer skills To apply for the position: If you're interested in this exciting opportunity to join the Louis Dreyfus Company, please click 'APPLY NOW' to forward an up-to-date copy of your Resume and Cover Letter.
