Responsibilities
- Support origination and development of transaction opportunities, contributing to client coverage and sourcing of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory mandates
- Execute detailed financial analysis and modelling for M&A and capital raising transactions
- Prepare, review, and finalise pitch decks, proposals, presentations, and investment memorandums for internal and external stakeholders
- Execute due diligence processes, including gathering, analysing, and interpreting financial data, identifying key risks and issues
- Conduct company, industry, market, and valuation research to support transaction execution and strategic recommendations
- Perform valuation analyses using various methods, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions
- Engage with clients, investors, and stakeholders as part of transaction execution and delivery
- Mentor and guide junior team members, ensuring quality delivery across workstreams
- Provide input into fundraising exercises, capital structuring, and transaction execution
- Provide oversight on the commercial outcomes of the team
- Qualifications & requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or professional qualification (CFA, CPA, ACA) preferred
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience including at least two years in a managerial capacity
- Preferred experience engaging with external clients and stakeholders in investment banking, corporate finance advisory, or a similar professional services environment
- Proven track record in M&A, capital raising, sell-side or corporate advisory transactions
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation abilities
- Detail-oriented with ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong organisational skills, with ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools
