Join an academic pediatric Plastic Surgery and Cleft and Craniofacial practice and be part of an excellent, collaborative, multidisciplinary team. We are looking for an experienced APP to provide new patient and follow-up management of pediatric Plastic Surgery patients in an outpatient setting. The APP will participate in independent APP clinics and shared Plastic Surgery surgeon clinics, with a key role supporting the multidisciplinary Cleft Craniofacial program. The APP will provide comprehensive ambulatory care for pediatric Plastic Surgery patients, including history and physical exams, assessment and management of non-operative Plastic Surgery conditions, post-operative follow-up, wound and scar evaluations, and coordination of care for complex patients. The APP will order and interpret diagnostic studies, order and manage medications, develop treatment plans, coordinate referrals, and assist with surgical candidacy and surgical planning in collaboration with the Plastic Surgery team. This role includes significant coordination and programmatic responsibilities for the Cleft Craniofacial program. Responsibilities include supporting clinic preparation and follow-up, facilitating team communication, preparing and maintaining comprehensive multidisciplinary care documentation, participating in surgical planning conferences, and supporting quality, accreditation, and program-development activities. The APP will also help coordinate communication with families, community providers, and internal team members, while partnering with clinic leadership, nursing, and administrative staff to support efficient, family-centered care. This is a highly sophisticated role requiring strong clinical judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the utmost professionalism. The APP should be comfortable caring for children and families in a pediatric specialty environment and should be able to work collaboratively across disciplines. Experience or interest in pediatric Plastic Surgery, cleft and craniofacial care, wound care, post-operative management, interdisciplinary program coordination, and family-centered care is highly desirable.
