About the role

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a global FMCG business while working on a genuine strategic business challenge. Over six weeks, you'll lead a high-profile project focused on ProActiv, one of the world's leading heart health brands. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, with a dotted line to the UK General Manager, you'll work alongside senior leaders across Marketing, Strategy, Category, Innovation, and R&D to help shape the future direction of the brand. ProActiv has a powerful, clinically proven proposition-it naturally lowers cholesterol in just 21 days. Yet despite around half of UK adults having raised cholesterol, only a small proportion currently purchase the brand. Your challenge will be to help answer an important commercial question: How can ProActiv become the most valued brand for people on their cholesterol journey by creating products, services, and experiences that truly meet their needs? Throughout the internship, you'll have real ownership of strategic work that will be presented to senior leadership and has the potential to influence the future direction of the business. Key responsibilities include: Leading research into healthcare professional channels including GPs, pharmacies, nutritionists, and dietitians through interviews, ethnography, and desk research. Developing a deep understanding of how healthcare professionals influence cholesterol management and identifying opportunities for ProActiv to better support both practitioners and consumers. Producing a strategic recommendation paper with clear insights, commercial opportunities, and actionable recommendations. Supporting the development of the UK ProActiv 2027 Annual Plan through strategic analysis, presentations, and project work. Working collaboratively across Marketing, Strategy, Category, Innovation, R&D, Nutrition, Regulatory, and Commercial teams. Building relationships with senior stakeholders while providing regular progress updates throughout the project. What Does It Take to Be Successful? We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, commercially minded, and excited by solving real business challenges. You don't need years of experience-but you do need the ability to think strategically, analyse information, communicate confidently, and work independently. You'll be someone who: Takes ownership and enjoys working independently with support from experienced leaders. Has a genuine interest in marketing, strategy, consumer behaviour, or brand development. Enjoys turning research and insights into practical commercial recommendations. Is confident working with data, research, and presentations. Builds positive relationships and collaborates effectively across different teams. Is organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Brings energy, curiosity, and a growth mindset to everything you do. What's Next? If you're looking for an internship where you'll do far more than observe-where you'll own a real strategic project, work directly with senior business leaders, and make a genuine contribution to the future of a global consumer brand-we'd love to hear from you.
