Responsibilities
- Implements and evaluates individual and group programs in order to meet the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs of the residents.
- Assist with monthly calendar creation.
- Maintains program and resident records according to department policy including but not limited to PCC assessments, RAI/MDS, and Activity Pro tracking.
- Active participation in committees and care conferences.
- Works together with other departments to meet resident needs.
- Participates with set up for special events and seasonal decorating.

Requirements
- Successful completion of a degree or diploma in Recreation and Leisure Studies,
- Therapeutic Recreation, Kinesiology, or related program.
- Previous experience in Long Term Care setting and knowledge of working with
- Geriatric and special needs residents.
- Ability to read and write English and to understand complicated verbal and written instructions
- Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Publisher and World Wide Web is an asset.
- GPA training would be an asset along with empathy and patience.
