Join our client's Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool service within the Recruitment & Assessment Team, where you will play a vital role in supporting the recruitment of adopters and guiding them through the adoption process. This position requires flexibility, as cases span Lancashire, Blackpool, and occasionally out-of-county, so the ability to travel independently is essential. We are seeking an experienced Social Worker who can undertake thorough assessments of prospective adopters and preferably has experience within adoption services (though this is not essential). Core Values and Job Purpose: Support the recruitment of adopters. Provide advice, training, and support to adults enquiring about adoption. Undertake assessments of prospective adopters and prepare detailed reports. Support adopters and their families through matching and achieving adoption orders. What will your responsibilities be? Complete complex assessments of adoptive applicants and present well-written Prospective Adopter Reports to the Adoption Panel. Plan and deliver preparation and training sessions for adoptive applicants. Support applicants through matching and placement processes. Participate in planning, facilitating, and running training events. Work collaboratively as part of a committed team, contributing to service development. Attend team meetings, service meetings, and working groups as required. Deliver training for staff and adoptive applicants. Participate in regional and national adoption events. Maintain accurate records and comply with all statutory obligations and agency procedures. Liaise with professionals in statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure best outcomes for children and families.
