Responsibilities
- The opeator will be assembling regulator units by following detailed procedures, including preparing materials, building/testing control boxes, assembling components, securing units to pallets, and ensuring quality through inspections and tests.
- In this function, you will:
- Perform tasks across various work centers, including palletizing, paint booth, SP back panel or/and control box builder, mod assembler, final tester, and final station 1 and 2.
- Sign off on all relevant checklists (crane, PIV, TPM, machine guarding).
- Obtain OPS and locate the pallet assembly number. Select the pallet number and view the recipe for specifications.
- Position the laser for board placement, cut runner and deck boards to size, and secure boards with a nail gun. Drill holes for the regulator, install carriage bolts, and secure the unit to the pallet.
- Transport the pallet to the final inspection lane or paint area. Push pallet down the chute and paint stencils if applicable.
- Assemble and connect the control box, apply dielectric grease, and secure cables. Install UI bulkhead, apply silicon, and assemble name plates and decals.
- Inspect and touch up paint, apply grease to caps, and remove tape from components. Assemble ground strap, series arrestors, connectors, and bird guards. Initiate leak test and move pallet to the next station.
- Check hoses and connections, premix paint, set tank and fluid pressure, and clean the system thoroughly before pot life expires. Wash, rinse, and dry the unit, verify color, and paint the unit. Flush at the end of the shift.
- Verify tool calibration and retrieve OPS. Assemble capacitor and harness, insert jumper, and secure wires. Assemble control panel, install components, route cables, and secure with nylon tie wraps. Transfer completed assembly to the Control Box Assembly area.
- Install J-Box cover, wrap bushings, and move the unit to the transfer cart. Adjust chains, verify height, and wrap remaining plugs.
- Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
- Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
- Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
- Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.
- Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Requirements
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Nacogdoches, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

- Previous experience in manufacturing preferred.

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Regulators Assembler - 1st Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is 19.75 per hour.
