About the role
Officer Machine Operations sits within the Solid VS team at Jamshoro and reports to the Production Line Lead. This role supports the value stream by operating and maintaining assigned production lines, work centres and manufacturing sites across dispensing, manufacturing and packaging zones. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operations while delivering production output in line with the shift schedule and maintaining quality, GMP, EHS and operational excellence standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily operational set-up and run assigned lines, production work centers or manufacturing suites in compliance with SOPs, GMP and EHS standards.
- Carry out autonomous maintenance, first-touch troubleshooting, CILT activities and basic technical maintenance for assigned equipment and ancillaries.
- Complete batch documentation, logbooks, records and associated GMP documents accurately and in real time, in line with data integrity and ALCOA principles.
- Conduct in-process checks, line clearance, product changeovers and area/equipment cleaning in line with production plans and required frequencies.
- Maintain 5S, hygiene and cleanliness standards across the assigned zone and support audit or visit readiness for the area.
- Report and escalate quality or safety deviations, incidents, events, near misses and operational issues in line with site SOPs.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions for issues within assigned zones, lines or work centres.
- Participate in Tier-1 line-level performance meetings, track hourly boards and contribute to achieving defined KPIs, including OEE targets.
- Identify opportunities to reduce quality defects, production breakdowns and hazardous or non-hazardous waste.
- Complete system-based training on time and perform any other responsibilities assigned in line with business requirements.
- Candidate Profile:
- DAE, bachelor's degree, Pharm-D, B.E. Engineering or equivalent technical education after matriculation in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 1-2 years of relevant experience in Pharma or FMCG manufacturing is preferred.
