About the role
Working alongside our team of digital preservation professionals, your core tasks will be to identify, qualify and facilitate sales of our entry level products from Starter to Professional through a mix of inbound and outbound lead generation within a Product Lead Growth (PLG) environment. Along the way you become knowledgeable about Active Digital Preservation and Preservica's product range, providing valuable insight and leadership to organizations across many markets (Culture & Heritage, Education, Public Sector and Corporate Archives). We value our sales force and will be coming to you for ideas regarding product improvements, marketing strategies and sales tactics..
Responsibilities
- Drive sales of Preservica products from current and potential prospects.
- Qualify and engage with upsell targets through appropriate channels & campaigns
- Close deals under $20,000 ARR and earn commission
- Monitor and report on users who have self-selected Preservica's freemium version of our software, Starter (https://starter.preservica.com/)
- Proactively help users towards product adoption by using a consultative approach
- Qualifying potential end-users for Professional and Enterprise opportunities and setting up appointments for the Direct Sales team
- Keep up with product and service information and updates
- Explain and demonstrate features of products and services
- Stay informed about competing products and services
- Manage and update your opportunities in Salesforce daily to track Sales business & activity (essential) & LinkedIn for networking (beneficial)
- Requirements & Previous Experience
- High school diploma/GED. College degree preferred
- Previous experience in an inside sales roll or a related sales position preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce
- Familiarity with records, information governance and archives is an advantage
- Familiarity with Product Led Growth (PLG) and customer-centric engagement
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Excellent phone and cold calling skills
- Exceptional customer support skills
- Strong listening and sales skills
- Work successfully as part of the overall sales and marketing teams
- Location & Reporting
- This role will be based from our Boston office with the option to work hybrid with some time from home. The role reports into the Vice President of Sales, North America and will be an integral part of our US Sales and Marketing organization.
