Responsibilities

  • Provide L2 application support for production and non-production environments.
  • Monitor application alerts, system logs, batch jobs, interfaces, and scheduled activities.
  • Manage and resolve application incident tickets from investigation to closure.

  • Prepare and maintain incident reports, operational documents, change documents, run-books, known issue records, and workaround documents.
  • Provide regular and timely updates to technical leads, management, users, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Support application testing and investigation activities in SIT, UAT, and other non-production environments.
  • Assist in production-related queries and requests from internal stakeholders, auditors, banks, and regulators where applicable.
  • Assist in annual industry and regulatory testing activities, including VAPT, APT, and APIPT across test and production environments.
  • Ensure support services are delivered in accordance with agreed SLAs.
  • Perform 24x7 standby support on a rotational basis.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in application support, production support, or application operations.
  • Strong experience in Java, J2EE/JEE, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Jasper Reports, APIs, RESTful services, SOAP services, and XML.
  • Basic understanding of Solaris and/or Linux operating systems such as RHEL.
  • Good working knowledge of ServiceNow development and configuration, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Update Sets.
  • Experience managing SQL databases across Production, UAT, and SIT environments using tools such as phpMyAdmin or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of Unix shell scripting and RedHat Ansible.
  • Experience supporting applications hosted on AWS, including CloudWatch, S3, RDS, EKS, CloudFormation, WAF, ECS, and API Gateway.
  • Familiarity with middleware and messaging technologies such as IBM Connect:Direct, IBM MQ, Apache Ignite, Solace PubSub+, and ELK.
  • Experience with Spring 4.x, 5.x, or 6.x, Struts 2.x, Spring Boot, and/or Spring Batch.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, ITIL, incident management, problem management, change management, and release management processes.
  • Good understanding of microservices, containerised environments, and DevSecOps practices will be an advantage.
  • Domain knowledge of financial clearing systems, payment systems, and ISO 20022 standards will be an advantage.
  • Site Reliability Engineering certification or relevant ITIL, AWS, DevOps, or application support certification will be an advantage.
