Construction Technician

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to two years of construction, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related field experience preferred.
• Experience safely operating string trimmers (weed eaters) is required.
• Experience operating skid steers is a plus.
• Experience with stormwater infrastructure maintenance, erosion control, drainage systems, or related construction activities is preferred.
• Knowledge of sediment and erosion control practices is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable operating pickups and towing equipment trailers.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Strong commitment to safety and OSHA-compliant work practices.
• Willingness to learn new skills, accept direction, and work as part of a team.

Your Responsibilities as a Construction Technician 1: Perform field labor related to the maintenance and repair of stormwater infrastructure systems. Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment safely and effectively. Perform vegetation management and site maintenance activities using string trimmers (weed eaters), brush cutters, and similar equipment. Support erosion and sediment control installation and maintenance activities. Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites. Document daily activities, field observations, and completed work. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Participate in training opportunities to develop construction and technical skills. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Actively pursue professional growth and career development opportunities.
