Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Gemba Walks and Kaizen events to streamline processes, reduce turnaround time, and drive productivity gains.
  • Mentor and develop internal talent toward Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt certifications .
  • Drive stakeholder alignment with monthly and quarterly business reviews and influence leadership to embed sustainable process excellence practices and live the Alcon Simplifeye culture.
  • Program & Project Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of transformation, digital, and service improvement programs .
  • Apply structured process management methodologies to design, document, optimize, and standardize processes.
  • Establish robust KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive and lead low-cost automation solutions (RPA), workflow tools, analytics dashboards, and AI-driven insights .

This role is part of Alcon's ITCI function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency. The Sr. Manager, Operational Excellence (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for providing strategic direction for cross-functional process improvement programs to enhance business performance through Lean methodologies. You will own annual objectives for the Continuous Improvement Program, track progress, and mentor Lean Six Sigma Green Belts. This role is part of the Opex leadership team and leads the team of CI managers responsible for the AGS centers. Job Profile Summary Responsible for driving the cross-functional process improvement program as part of the overall Operational Excellence agenda. Focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share via the use of Lean and other continuous improvement methodologies. Own the annual objectives for the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) and track and report progress towards achieving them. Identify opportunities for Lean improvement (Gemba) Events and candidates for Green Belt and Black Belt Training. Work within the organization at all levels to create value and buy-in as the lead change driver. Mentor Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belts through the completion of certification projects.
