We are seeking a temporary full-time Menu Planning Specialist to support the execution and optimization of CookUnity's weekly menu planning process. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing weekly menus across multiple markets, balancing customer demand, culinary variety, operational constraints, and business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure menus are strategically curated, operationally feasible, and aligned with company goals. You will play a key role in maintaining menu quality by analyzing product performance, identifying assortment gaps, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring menus meet planning guidelines and launch deadlines. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving complex planning challenges, and operating in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Execute weekly menu planning across multiple markets, ensuring menus meet assortment, variety, operational, and business requirements.
- Analyze menu performance metrics including conversion, ratings, repeat rate, adoption, and sales trends to inform planning decisions.
- Identify assortment gaps and recommend actions to improve menu quality, customer satisfaction, and overall menu performance.
- Balance menu variety and product mix to maximize customer choice while minimizing cannibalization across categories and meal occasions.
- Ensure compliance with planning guidelines, category targets, chef allocations, and operational constraints.
- Coordinate with Culinary, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Data teams to ensure menu readiness and successful launches.
- Monitor planning timelines and proactively identify and resolve risks that could impact menu execution.
- Support assortment optimization initiatives through performance analysis and data-driven recommendations.
- Assist in post-launch analysis to evaluate menu performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of menu planning tools, processes, and best practices.

- Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in category management, menu planning, business operations, project management, consulting, or similar analytical roles.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data to support decision-making.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Google Sheets/Excel; familiarity with planning and project management tools is a plus.
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate initiatives across multiple teams.
- Since our HQ is located in NYC, an excellent level of English is required.
