About the role

We are seeking a talented full-time, Sr. Designer/Front-end Developer to design and code anything that's thrown your way. A primary portion of the position will be ongoing homepage and landing page A/B tests for various products including mortgages, autos, education, free credit, personal loans, and many more. With hundreds of thousands of page views each week, one successful new homepage or landing page test could generate millions in annual revenue. That's right. That's the power, exposure and potential success you could have in this position. You will work closely with the senior creative team, copywriters, and project managers to create and deliver compelling design and development solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conceive and design an array of original homepages, landing pages, and webpage elements for ongoing testing of several products, while adhering to the growing brand and style guidelines.
  • Front-end develop your designs to be pixel perfect, while pushing the envelope with the latest coding trends, tricks, subtle animations, etc.
  • Maintain web standards and keep up-to-date with new technologies and advertising trends and formats (i.e. site responsiveness, size restrictions, mobile, web video, etc.)
  • Along with landing and homepages, other requests will inevitably come your way including interactive info graphics, acquisition emails, digital tradeshow displays, etc. - or whatever else might interest you
  • Brainstorm, concept, and collaborate with the Creative Team
  • Responsible for helping grow and overall shape the LendingTree brand
  • Work with internal customers to determine project goals and deliverable timeframes.
  • Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Is a graduate from a 4-year school with a graphic design degree (or close equivalent) and over 5 years experience, including web design and front-end development
  • Has a portfolio of stellar web design and development to share with us that demonstrates excellent design principles, and problem solving through visual communication
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and significant experience working cross functionally - should be able to collaborate closely with Marketing and Product peers as a key creative partner
  • Can understand business objectives and proactively contribute both strategic and design ideas
  • Interested in the analytics associated with the creatives you produce and test, to improve designs by making small but significant changes
  • Is able to work in a fast-paced team environment and juggle multiple projects at once
  • Can funnel constructive criticism into new ideas
  • Produces quick and dirty concepts for review before driving full speed ahead
  • Professional Knowledge:
  • Expert knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Expert knowledge in graphic design, layout, hierarchy, etc.
  • Expert knowledgeable in HTML/CSS/Javascript, able to create pages completely from scratch - no WYSIWYG
  • Able to create clean and concise code and images to keep page load times fast

  • Experience with GIT, and resolving code conflicts or versioning issues in a quick and clean manner
