System Administrator Tier II

About the role

Job Title: System Administrator Tier II Support Security Clearance: Secret Location : Joint Training Center, Jordan (Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. ) C3EL is seeking a System Administrator Tier II to join our team in Jordan. In this role, you'll provide advanced administration, troubleshooting, and support for enterprise-level systems and networks. You'll ensure the stability, security, and performance of critical infrastructure by applying updates, monitoring server health, and leveraging enterprise management tools. As a key member of our technical team, you'll help maintain seamless operations while ensuring compliance with DoD standards and security requirements. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Provide Tier II system administration support, including troubleshooting escalated issues from Tier I. Monitor system health, performance, and availability, ensuring mission-critical systems remain operational. Implement security patches, configuration changes, and updates to maintain compliance with DoD standards. Manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and group policies. Perform routine server backups, disaster recovery procedures, and system restores when required. Support the configuration and deployment of servers, storage systems, and enterprise applications. Maintain and enforce best practices across systems and networks. Collaborate with network, security, and help desk teams to resolve complex technical issues. Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge continuity.

Requirements

• An active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required .
• Must have one (1) of the following required certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP.
• Must have knowledge and familiarity with reviewing and deploying vendor updates for security patches.
• Must have knowledge with storage technologies such as Storage Area Network (SAN) or Network Attached Storage (NAS).
• Must have knowledge with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
• Must have knowledge with server configuration and management tools (Microsoft System Center Operations manager (SCOM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)).
• Must have network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networks.
• Must have technical documentation skills.
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree plus 6 years related work experience and 2 years in military environment OR an Associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR 11 total years of recent specialized experience.
