Responsibilities

  • 10-15 years of experience in client services, account leadership, healthcare strategy, marketing, or consulting, with responsibility for complex, multi-brand or portfolio-level engagements.
  • Deep understanding of the Japanese healthcare system, including therapeutic areas, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks such as the PMD Act, JPMA Code, and MLR review processes.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional, multicultural teams across strategy, creative, medical, regulatory, and analytics disciplines to deliver compliant, high-impact work.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data and insights, including real-world evidence, claims data, IQVIA, or digital analytics, into clear, commercially grounded recommendations.
  • Desired:

  • Experience partnering with both local Japan and global brand teams within a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of global brand planning, lifecycle strategy, and localization of global frameworks for regional markets.
  • Experience working closely with MLR partners to ensure compliant asset development and approval.
  • Ability to create scalable frameworks, playbooks, and best-practice models to improve client engagement and ways of working in the Japan market.
  • Location note: This role is based in Tokyo, Japan, with a primarily remote working model and periodic in-person time with clients as needed.
