Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

About the role

You will serve as a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST in the NAVAL TESTING WING PACIFIC of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Coordinating and controlling Research, Development, Test and Evaluation maintenance actions and aircraft configurations for fighter, attack and electronic warfare aircraft to support project execution. 2) Applying in-depth knowledge of aircraft system, electronic warfare, engines, and specialized instrumentation to monitor testing and resolve configuration or compatibility issues using systems. 3) Providing technical consultation to project teams, engineers, and leadership to ensure timely planning and execution of unique, non-standard test and evaluation installations. 4) Managing, safeguarding, and accounting for classified information, encryption materials (KEYMAT), and secure communications equipment in compliance with strict regulations. 5) Serving as a quality assurance inspector with delegated authority to accept, reject, or halt installation work, and assist with aircraft weight and balance operations. 6) Administering safety qualification programs, such as the Non-Aircrew Cockpit Safety programs, and ensuring contractor compliance with ground operating instructions.
