About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join Dr. Verena Körber's research group, focusing on somatic evolution. You will take the lead in developing advanced in vivo experimental model systems to monitor clonal dynamics in health and disease. As a member of an interdisciplinary research team, working closely together with computational researchers and clinical collaborators, you will use cutting edge in vivo barcoding systems, CRISPR-based gene editing tools and next generation sequencing techniques to quantify somatic evolution over time and across differentiation states. Applicants should hold a PhD/DPhil in Biology or a closely related field, with relevant research experience. Experience with mouse models of hematopoietic malignancies, in vivo barcoding systems including transplantation experiments and single cell sequencing techniques are essential. Familiarity with statistical programming languages (R, Python) would be desirable. This full-time, fixed term position is funded by Cancer Research UK and is available until 30 September 2029. Applications for this vacancy are to be made online. You will be required to upload a CV and supporting statement as part of your online application. The closing date for this position is noon on 17 June 2026. £39,424 to £47,779 per annum: Grade 7
