The purpose of this position is to perform Motor Vehicle Operator duties by operating and performing operator maintenance on motor vehicles to provide safe and efficient transportation of passengers, supplies, materials, and equipment over public roads and within government installations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position will be evaluated under the federal wage system job grading standards for WG-5703. No specific length of experience is required. PHYSICAL EFFORT Light physical effort is used in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand controls on vehicles operated. When hauling supplies and equipment may be required to lift objects weighing less or more than 50 pounds. When performing custodial duties physical effort is involved in moving and controlling heavy powered equipment, carrying and setting up ladders and scaffolding, etc. Must frequently lift and move objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
