The EMEA category buyer for Buildings & Utilities and Facility Management is responsible for all regional tactical purchasing activities in the area of above mentioned Services. The regional category approach creates a mutual added Value for all internal Customers in terms of commercial, logistical and processual Enhancements by providing Expertise and Best Practices around the needs of the internal Customers as well as strengthening the relationship to strategic Business Partners (internally and externally). Your tasks Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for assigned material and service categories to ensure optimal supply and value creation Independently prepare, lead, and close international supplier negotiations, including compliant supplier selection and documentation Drive cost and value initiatives such as make-or-buy decisions, bundling strategies, and value engineering projects Manage supplier complaints, claims, and escalations of strategic relevance Oversee the full contract lifecycle to ensure commercial, financial, and operational performance Ensure full compliance with corporate policies, ethics, Business Partner Code of Conduct, and audit requirements Approve and negotiate high-value purchase requisitions and manage the purchase-to-pay process Act as a trusted procurement partner for internal stakeholders through consultation, regular alignment, and requirement clarification Analyze spend, demand, and supplier data; define, track, and report KPIs for the assigned category Drive adoption of digital procurement tools and data-driven decision-making Select, evaluate, and optimize the supplier base Lead or contribute to cross-functional and purchasing-related projects within the assigned category Your profile University Degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Masters) and extensive experience, related certifications. At least 3 years of professional experience in procurement, preferably in technical purchasing (NPM area) with verifiable success Strong analytic and conceptual competence Exceptional communicator capable of communicating effectively within a multi-cultural and across functions as well as all levels Confident handling of SAP R/3 + S/4 and MS Office Independent and responsible way of working as well as a quick comprehension Advanced negotiating skills, assertiveness, goal- and result-oriented work Fluent in German & English (writing and speaking). Experience in project management
