Responsibilities

- Contribute to the building and development of internal analysis, providing market insight and working closely with the analysis team.
- Develop leadership qualities by assisting and guiding junior members of the team including assistance with onboarding and training/coaching.
- Liaise and build relations with counterparties (owners/brokers/charterers) around the world
- Gather and share market information, assessing the accuracy of such and sharing this across the GTN where useful
- What you bring

- Substantial experience in frontline trading, chartering or broking
- Deep experience in third party negotiations
- An in depth understanding of shipping operations, including the ability to maximize operational efficiency
- A strong understanding of charter party terms and their legal and financial impact
- Sufficient experience to directly address legal, financial and compliance - related questions
- Strong capability in understanding the various exposures at both regional and book level, with ability to actively manage physical options and derivatives, aligned with a clear forward view
- Ability to work under pressure is an extremely important attribute as is flexibility around working hours and time zones
