Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will:
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage adults presenting with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties within mental health settings.

  • Qualifications and Experience
  • To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
  • Previous experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist with adult clients.
  • Experience working within mental health, neurorehabilitation, learning disability, or related adult services is desirable.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and clinical reasoning skills.
  • The ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Title: Locum Adult Mental Health Speech and Language Therapist Banding: Band 6 Location: London Start Date: ASAP Rate: £24.00-£28.00 per hour Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time Job Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Mental Health Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist mental health service in London. This is an excellent locum opportunity for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist looking to work within multidisciplinary mental health teams, supporting adults with a range of communication and swallowing needs. The successful candidate will primarily be based within Lakeside Mental Health Unit, with opportunities to work across additional mental health units in Ealing and Hounslow. You will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing communication difficulties associated with complex mental health conditions, contributing to person-centred care and positive patient outcomes.
