Who We're Looking For: Rover is looking for a strategic, commercially-minded, and operationally talented Director of FP&A to support our global growth and marketing businesses. This role is a key member of the Finance team, reporting to the Sr Director of Finance. This isn't just a "numbers" role; you will be the strategic co-pilot to the Chief Global Growth Officer and partnering with senior leadership to drive financial rigor, resource allocation, and long-term value creation. The Director of FP&A will bring both the strategic altitude to shape enterprise financial value creation and the operational discipline to ensure Rover's financial foundation is strong, scalable, and insight-driven. This is a hybrid position with the minimum expectation to work out of our Downtown Seattle Office two days per week on Mondays and Thursdays. Candidates must be based in the Greater Seattle Area or willing to relocate. Requirements
- 8-12+ years of progressive finance experience, with a demonstrated track record in FP&A, business finance, or corporate finance at a growth-stage or public technology company.
- At least 3+ years of people management experience, with a track record of developing strong finance talent.
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis. Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where the numbers are still being defined.
- Exceptional strategic communication skills. Able to translate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives for Board, C-Suite, and cross-functional audiences.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes to operational drivers. You think like an operator, not just an analyst.
- Experience operating in a two-sided marketplace, platform business, or similarly complex revenue model is a strong plus.
- High degree of integrity and sound judgment, particularly in situations involving sensitive financial information or significant business trade-offs.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
