About the role
I am looking for a senior credit analyst with at least 7 years of related experience to support the credit risk department, responsible for counterparties within the Asia region and operational credit risk activities from the Singapore office. The successful candidate will be oversee the daily credit operations, margin call procession, position transfers and exposure management. Undertake detailed quantitative and qualitative credit assessments of new and existing counterparties, including corporates, banks, brokers, trading companies and other financial institutions Analyse financial statements, management accounts and supporting information, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements Support Front Office personnel in new business onboarding requests and existing customer limit amendments, balancing commercial objectives with prudent risk management Perform financial ratio analysis, peer comparisons and industry benchmarking Monitor portfolio exposures and identify emerging credit concerns or deteriorating counterparty credit quality. Maintain counterparty ratings in accordance with group rating methodology Monitor excess collateral balances and ensure any collateral returns are managed in accordance with Title Transfer Collateral Arrangement (TTCA) requirements Analyse and assess exposure implications arising from Position Transfers, Metal Position Swaps (MPS), Novations and Historic Price Carries (HPCs), and prepare valuations for review and approval. Conduct counterparty meetings, both virtually and in person, to gain a detailed understanding of business activities, financial performance and risk management practices about the manager/team Report to the CEO Work closely with the London credit team CBD area skills and experience required At least 7 years of related experience in counterparty credit risk management within the financial services, commodity trading, brokerage or banking sectors Experience analysing corporates, commodity trading counterparties, banks and brokers Strong understanding of commodity markets (preferably the London Metal Exchange and precious metals), derivative products and counterparty credit risk Knowledge of Initial Margin and Variation Margin methodologies Experience of collateral management, margining and exposure monitoring Experience with Position Transfers, Metal Position Swaps, Novations and Historic Price Carries Experience presenting credit recommendations to senior management.
