About the role

Logitech is seeking a Principal Industrial Designer to join our Mouse Design Team in Cork. This is a senior-level position for a recognised expert who balances world-class craft with strategic foresight - a thinker and a doer. You will work on complex design assignments, solving unique challenges that have a broad impact on our product portfolio and the future direction of our businesses. Based in our Cork office, you will be a key member of a team dedicated to excellence in handheld products, leading the creation of mice that are as comfortable, ergonomically superior as they are visually groundbreaking. WHY IS THIS ROLE IMPORTANT FOR LOGITECH? The mouse is at the core of Logitech's product portfolio. We design the tools people reach for every day - products where form, material, ergonomics, and engineering precision must coexist seamlessly and where world class design quality is non-negotiable. At the Principal level, you will be shaping the future of one of our most competitive and scrutinised product categories. We prototype to learn, design to inspire, and ship real products that people enthuse about and love to use. YOUR CONTRIBUTION Move fast. Speak up. Decide and own. Drive change. Visionary Craft & Innovation: Lead the design and development of future-forward mouse experiences, transforming complex human problems into polished, intuitive, and beautiful design solutions. Strategic Influence: Partner with senior leadership to shape the long-term direction of the Mouse Design Team, ensuring design strategy aligns with emerging trends and business objectives. Design Excellence: Manage key design processes and projects from brief through to production builds, maintaining an unrelenting focus on quality, detail, and creative confidence. Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and thought leadership to the broader design team. Mentor other designers and foster a culture of curiosity and exceptional craftsmanship. Collaborative Networking: Build strong relationships with engineering, product marketing, and business stakeholders to drive design quality and change across a multidisciplinary environment. KEY QUALIFICATIONS To be considered, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviours to our team: Proven Track Record: 10+ years of relevant experience in Industrial Design , either in-house or at a leading agency, with a portfolio of successful, high-volume consumer hardware products. Physical-Digital Mastery: Exceptional hands-on skills in sketching, visualisation, and physical prototyping (including hand-sculpting in foam). Deep understanding of anthropometrics, ergonomics, and the iterative digital-to-physical workflow required for handheld devices. 3D CAD Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in surface CAD - excellent working knowledge of Rhino, SolidWorks, Alias, Fusion or Creo Parametric, Class-A surfacing principles and experience exchanging high-quality 3D files with mechanical engineers and CAD specialists. CMF & Manufacturing: Working expertise in Materials, Colours and Finishes, Design for Manufacturing, and EVT/DVT/PVT build processes - you understand how to maintain design intent through engineering development. AI Proficiency: Comfortable integrating AI tools (e.g., Vizcom, Gemini, Magnific) into ideation and concept visualisation workflows. Able to move faster and explore more broadly because of it - not instead of core craft. Communication & Storytelling: Able to craft compelling design narratives and present persuasively to stakeholders at all levels, from engineers to senior executives. Highly driven, collaborative, and a proactive self-starter - you take on ambiguous assignments and drive them through to valuable outcomes. Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field. OUR CULTURE At Logitech, we act like a small company. We believe that anyone can have the best idea. We value designers who are humble, hungry, and brave enough to challenge conventional thinking - and we offer a highly collaborative, international environment where your work will impact millions of people worldwide. Logitech is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Individuals seeking employment at Logitech are considered without regard to race, colour, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, or sexual orientation.
