How you'll make a difference The Civil Drafter - Highways provides high-quality drafting and documentation support for highway and road infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing accurate drawings and models in accordance with agreed standards, assisting designers and engineers to deliver safe, compliant, and constructible transport outcomes. Prepare and update detailed 2D and 3D drawings for highway and road projects, including alignments, cross sections, pavement layouts, drainage, traffic layouts, and earthworks plans, ensuring all documentation is delivered to client and industry standards. Support engineers and designers with CAD model setup, reference file coordination, design development, quantity take-offs, and the preparation of project deliverables across multiple disciplines. Maintain a high standard of drafting quality through accurate documentation, consistent drawing presentation, document control, version management, and compliance with project and WHS requirements. Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other drafters to manage queries, incorporate feedback, and contribute to ongoing improvements in drafting processes, systems, and standards. Please apply, all applications will be considered. 2-5 years' experience in highway or road infrastructure drafting, ideally across transport and civil infrastructure projects. Solid skills in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, with exposure to MicroStation or OpenRoads viewed favourably depending on the project environment. Good understanding of highway geometry, road design principles, and drafting standards, with the ability to work from engineering sketches, models, and technical specifications. Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work. Experience working to AustRoads, Main Roads WA, or similar Australian standards is advantageous. Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering Drafting, Engineering Design, or a related field. Exposure to BIM, 12D, OpenRoads Designer, or construction documentation would also be beneficial.
