Accounts Assistant

Responsibilities

• Handle daily bookkeeping and accounting entries.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, statements of account (SOA), and daily sales and collection reports.
• Perform Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including payment processing, collection follow-up, and customer account reconciliation.
• Assist in bank reconciliations and cash management activities.
• Maintain proper accounting records, filing systems, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare accounting schedules, reports, and supporting documentation as required.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders on accounting-related matters.
• Support audit, GST, tax, and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as assigned by management.

Requirements

• LCCI/ CAT/ Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
• Minimum 3 year of relevant working experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems; experience with Sage ACCPAC is preferred.
• Positive working attitude, willing to learn and able to multi-task
