Software Engineer Lead This position is based in Plano, TX. Who we're looking for At TFS, we're embarking on a technology transformation journey, creating next generation of products and platforms. We're looking for a Software Engineer Lead , who brings deep technical expertise, a strong sense of ownership, and a track record of driving meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot , and cloud-native technologies.
• Implement complex architecture in collaboration with enterprise architects , contributing actively to development efforts.
• Work with stakeholders in Agile environments to align technical solutions with business priorities.
• Bring structure to ambiguous requirements through sound engineering judgment and initiative.
• Own critical components, driving performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• Mentor junior engineers and elevate team standards through code reviews and technical leadership.
• Uphold best practices in testing, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring quality and scalability.
• What you bring
• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience in software development with a solid technical foundation with relevant experience in Java, Spring boot, NodeJS, REST API, Real time streaming architectures, microservices architecture patterns.
• Proven experience delivering cloud-native applications on AWS or other major cloud platforms.
• Command of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Object Oriented Design (OOD), and event-driven architecture in real-world systems
• Solid background in microservices and REST APIs .
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), version control , and DevOps tooling.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL , MySQL , or Document DB .
• Hands-on knowledge of of Kubernetes/ Amazon ECS, containerization, and deployment automation.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus , Grafana , Datadog , or CloudWatch .
• Full ownership mindset-writing, testing, and validating your own code to ensure quality and reliability.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across architecture, engineering, and product teams.

• Experience working in FinTech or other highly regulated, enterprise-scale environments.
• Exposure to LLM workflows or integrating ML models into production systems.
• Familiarity with scalable messaging platforms such as Kafka or other streaming technologies.
