Job Objective: Operate a knits material slitter de-twister machine, extractor, and drum dryer while achieving safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and scrap goals in a highly developed 'team work' environment. Essential Job Functions: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in alignment with EH&S objectives and 5S goals Assist in training / cross-training new and auxiliary employees in each operational function within the slitter de-twister focused factory Demonstrate competency and compliance to applicable FMEAs, control plans, and working instructions Demonstrate competency and compliance with Quality Standard ISO/TS 16949, and Environmental Standard ISO 14001 Perform equipment set ups for the slitter de-twister, extractor, and drum dryer Perform material / process changeovers in alignment with the production schedule Transport materials between focused factories Perform basic repairs and adjustments to the slitter de-twister, extractor, and drum dryer machines as required Perform equipment preventative maintenance assignments Demonstrate KanBan material flow competency Accurate and detailed scorecard report out and feedback on focused factory performance to TAKT time productivity plan Perform other duties as assigned within and without the knit room focused factory What You Bring (Qualifications): Two years manufacturing and/or related machine operation experience High school diploma or equivalent Demonstrated ability to work within a team, and complete multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and recommend improvements to working instructions and procedures Basic computer literacy Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to 'self-pace' learning - including book, web-base, and classroom participation Experience in technology and operation of Knit or Woven processes and equipment Experienced powered lift operator Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949, and ISO 14001 Demonstrated ability to be flexible in assigned tasks and duties Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Work Environment & Schedule: Onsite manufacturing environment with shift-based schedule. Hands-on role with equipment operation and team collaboration.
