Compensation: $150,000-190,000/year Team & Position Details: The Developer Experience team is a new and growing practice at Virtru, focused on empowering developers to build with Virtru tools and the OpenTDF open source ecosystem. We're seeking a Senior Developer Experience Engineer to join the team at a pivotal moment in our growth. As our Virtru and OpenTDF open source SDKs expand to serve thousands of developers across enterprise, government, and open source ecosystems, our documentation has become one of the most important touchpoints between Virtru and the developers who depend on us. This role exists to own that touchpoint. You'll treat Virtru's developer documentation as a product: benchmarking our developer experience against industry leaders, shipping interactive docs and content infrastructure, and producing the kind of guides and content developers actually want to use. You'll partner closely with our Senior Developer Experience Engineer, SDK teams, and product partners to shape the strategy - and you'll write the docs, ship the code, and produce the content that brings it to life. You'll join our Developer Experience team as a key partner with real influence on the strategy, tools, and culture we build together. The team is small and fast-moving, and we're looking for someone who's excited about that kind of ownership. This is the right role for a senior technical writer ready to own docs-as-code and infrastructure alongside content production, or for a documentation engineer who wants to operate with significant scope and strategic latitude in a growing developer-facing platform. This position is remote and reports to Virtru's Developer Experience team lead. As a Senior Developer Experience Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Docs as a Product : Own Virtru's developer documentation end-to-end - information architecture, content quality, user experience, and the platform it runs on. Benchmark our docs against industry-leading developer experiences and lead the roadmap that gets us to that bar. Interactive & Accessible Documentation : Design and ship interactive docs experiences - embedded code samples, runnable examples, API explorers, video walkthroughs - that meet developers where they are. Hold a high bar for accessibility, performance, and the kind of polish that makes docs feel delightful rather than obligatory. Content Production : Write cookbook-style guides, tutorials, conceptual explanations, and reference material. Produce screencasts and video walkthroughs for high-impact developer workflows.
