What Success Looks Like During the first 6-12 months, this individual will: Strengthen Mission Telecom's HR infrastructure and compliance practices Refine and document core people processes and policies Improve leadership support, coaching, and performance management practices Enhance employee engagement and communication across the organization Establish meaningful HR metrics and reporting for leadership Ensure consistent HR operations through ADP Workforce Now Build scalable systems that support future organizational growth

Director of Human Resources & People Operations Department: Human Resources Reports to: Executive Director - Broadband & Executive Director - Grants Schedule: 20-30 hours per week Classification: Executive Leadership Salary Range: $72-$91/ hour ($74,880 - $141,960 annually) Location: Remote Position Overview Mission Telecom is seeking an experienced fractional Director of Human Resources & People Operations to help strengthen our people practices, organizational culture, and HR infrastructure during an exciting period of growth. This role serves as both a strategic advisor and hands-on practitioner, ensuring that Mission Telecom's policies, programs, and people-centered systems support employee success, organizational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate is an experienced HR leader who combines deep expertise in employment law, compliance, employee relations, compensation, and workforce planning with a strong commitment to coaching, leadership development, employee engagement, and organizational culture. This individual must be equally comfortable advising executives on complex people matters and rolling up their sleeves to implement practical solutions in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. As a remote-first organization, we are seeking someone who can help foster a culture of trust, collaboration, transparency, and belonging while ensuring that our HR practices remain compliant, scalable, and aligned with our mission. This is a build-stage role. The successful candidate will help Mission Telecom strengthen foundational HR systems while supporting leaders and employees through the next phase of organizational growth.
