About the role

You will serve as a HOUSING DIRECTOR in the HOUSING PROGRAM of NAVAL BASE VENTURA COUNTY. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and implementing plans for the renovation and recapitalization of Unaccompanied Housing (including Student Dormitories) facilities; 2) Managing the planned maintenance and upkeep of existing facilities of varied structural design, purpose, condition, and age; 3) Conducting all required surveys, reviews and inspections to determine current conditions and future requirements; 4) Ensuring awareness of potential health and safety risks to residents in Public Private Venture (PPV) housing and Engaging in an advocate role for service members and families; and 5) Performing supervisory duties such as managing, organizing, directing, providing technical leadership and guidance, assigning and prioritizing work, position management, evaluating work performance of subordinates and resolving disciplinary issues.
