About the role

General Information: Job Title: Senior Product Owner Location: Bengaluru, or Hyderabad, India (Remote India acceptable, must work IST with US overlap) Job Type: FTE/Contract Target Start Date: June 9, 2026 About Fulfillment IQ (FIQ) Fulfillment IQ is a supply chain engineering and transformation company that helps brands, retailers, and 3PLs design, build, and scale high-performance logistics operations. We work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and technology where we solve complex, real-world problems across warehouse design, automation, order management, transportation, and end-to-end supply chain execution. Our teams combine deep domain expertise with strong technical capability, delivering outcomes through consulting, systems implementation, and proprietary platforms that accelerate time-to-value and reduce delivery risk. If you enjoy working in complex environments, partnering closely with clients, and seeing your work make a tangible impact on how global commerce moves, this is the place where your skills and judgment truly come to life. Role Overview: FedEx is currently rebuilding its Developer Portal as part of a multi-quarter transformation initiative, internally referred to as "Next Chapter." The product organization is based in the US and comprises five Product Managers. The engineering team operates out of FedEx ACC in Hyderabad, consisting of 10 internal developers, 10 vendor-supported developers, and one architect. The primary focus of this role is to act as a critical bridge between the US-based product organization and the India-based engineering team. While the product team defines strong epics and features, there is a clear need for dedicated ownership of execution coordination and story-level translation within the India team. This Product Owner role is responsible for connecting both teams while working from the India time zone. The individual will collaborate closely with engineering, lead story grooming sessions, and translate product requirements into well-defined user stories aligned with engineering needs (including compatibility with Copilot-assisted workflows). They will ensure clarity in acceptance criteria and drive coordinated execution across the team. The role is positioned as a contractor engagement via Fulfillment IQ, with day-to-day interaction managed directly with the client team. This position is firmly focused on product ownership rather than Scrum Master or delivery management responsibilities. The ideal candidate should bring strong product judgment, along with the ability to serve as an effective cultural and communication bridge between the US product organization and the India engineering team. Must Haves: 5-8+ years in Product Owner or Product Manager roles (not Scrum Master or BA who did PO work on the side) At least 3 years working on developer-facing products: developer portals, API platforms, SDKs, integration products, or internal developer platforms Working experience inside Indian corporate culture and the ability to navigate its communication and decision-making norms Proven track record of authoring user stories and acceptance criteria for technical/API features (not just consumer-facing features) Has personally run story grooming and sprint ceremonies as a core part of the job, not as a side responsibility Strong written and verbal English communication, with the ability to flex tone and method across cultural contexts Comfortable discussing system architecture and integration patterns with architects and engineering leads Proficient in Agile tools (Jira, Rally/Agility, or equivalent) Available to work IST hours with overlap into US working hours for product coordination Key Responsibilities: Story Grooming & Backlog Ownership Lead the Story Grooming ceremony each cycle: translate features into user stories, write clear acceptance criteria, and confirm acceptance criteria are met Develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog aligned to program objectives and stakeholder needs Author user stories in a structure that can plug into engineering workflows and AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot) Ensure all delivered functionality is validated against defined acceptance criteria prior to release Execution Coordination Coordinate execution across the 20-developer team in Hyderabad: track who owns each story, unblock work, and keep the cycle moving Operate within FedEx's 10-week TI cycle cadence (FedEx is transitioning from SAFe) Communicate sprint status, risks, and blockers to program leadership in a timely and structured manner Cross-Cultural Bridge & Stakeholder Management Partner with the 5 US-based Product Managers on epic and feature breakdown Act as the cultural and communication bridge between FedEx ACC engineering and the US product organization Serve as the primary point of contact between product management and engineering squads for scope, sequencing, and delivery questions Bring a system-architecture perspective into refinement a
