Your new role As a Business Analyst, you will act as the critical link between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating requirements into practical, value-driven solutions. You will partner with the business to elicit and define requirements, provide expert insight, and support the delivery of initiatives that enhance capability and drive measurable outcomes. Working closely with technology teams, you will support the delivery of system enhancements, manage incidents, and contribute to solution design. Key responsibilities include: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key internal stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved. Investigate and respond to production support items within SLAs, escalating when necessary and establishing workarounds. Identify and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and efficiency. Identify and assess risks within your subject matter area, lead risk-related dialogue as the SME for that domain, and support stakeholders in making informed, risk-based decisions. Mitigate risks in delivery while keeping to agreed plan and timeframes. Assist in the development of project documentation and best practices. Analyse workflow and create process maps to identify areas for improvement. Support end-users by ensuring thorough understanding of user requirements and providing relevant process documentation. Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to achieve departmental service-level agreements, turning business requirements into functional specifications. Participate in implementation planning and support successful outcomes. Complete system and procedure performance testing, providing recommendations for improvement. Having the right to work in the UK is required for this role. Sponsorship may be considered at QBE's discretion. About you Background in insurance is essential Reinsurance experience is advantageous Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and user stories Strong stakeholder management and communication skills A mindset that challenges the status quo and proposes new ideas Experience working closely with technology/delivery teams Workable understanding of process integrated with technology systems in an 'agile' framework. Business analysis, technical analysis, and improvement experience, Solid experience in IT, with exposure to business process re-engineering, commercial analysis, development and monitoring of SLAs, and business transformation.
