Responsibilities
- Account Opening & Client Setup
- Support custody clients in opening cash and securities custody accounts
- Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and account setup
- Daily Settlement Operations
- Execute and monitor client settlement instructions across multi-currency custody accounts
- Process payment and remittance instructions, liaising with internal operations teams for timely execution
- Perform end-of-day (EOD) reconciliation of cash and securities positions, investigate and resolve breaks
- Maintain accurate transaction records across internal clearing and custody systems
- Valuation & NAV Operations
- Perform daily NAV calculation, validation, and exception review for custody portfolios
- Process corporate actions including dividends, stock splits, and related accounting entries
- Maintain pricing data sources and ensure accuracy of market and reference data inputs
- Process Improvement & System Support
- Support enhancement of SWIFT MT/MX messaging workflows and operational efficiency initiatives
- Participate in system connectivity testing, including basic financial infrastructure integrations
- Support automation and process optimisation projects within custody operations
- Compliance & Reporting Support
- Monitor settlement fails and prepare exception analysis reports
- Support MAS regulatory reporting requirements related to custody and settlement activities
- Assist in preparation of periodic client and regulatory reports (quarterly / annual submissions)
- 📌 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of experience in custody operations, securities settlement, or fund valuation roles
- Strong understanding of custody operations, settlement lifecycle, and corporate actions
- Experience in custodian banks, broker-dealers, or fund administration back-office is highly preferred
- Familiarity with SWIFT messaging (MT/MX) and settlement systems is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
