These businesses include total engineering of plants and facilities for energy and infrastructure industries. Especially notable is its success in carrying out more than 20,000 projects in 80 countries, which has established its reputation as one of the premier engineering contractors in the world. In order to achieve further development of the group's business as a whole, we are implementing a major reorganization in which our Singapore-based company named JGC Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (JGCAP) be positioned as a regional headquarters to oversee group companies in the APAC region. With this reorganization and transformation, we are looking for a new 'Director', who will be mainly responsible for managing and formulating business strategies of JGCAP. Job Description -Direct the improvement for the stable growth of the entire JGC Asia Pacific), with approximately 200 employees in 4 countries (Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam) group-wide, in rolling out of global initiatives and programmers and oversee all business decisions and operations, closely liaising with the Japan HQ. -Based on the latest market situation in APAC region, discuss with the management of the JGC Group to optimize JGCAP's management strategy for the entire region. -Identify key issues in management strategy at the group level and formulate policies to address them. Regularly report, propose and discuss with the Japan headquarters management to achieve the goal of JGCAP Group as a whole. -Oversee JGCAP's financial performance and status of ongoing projects to analyze the standing and financial position of the organization and provide direction and motivation to the entire companies to achieve sales targets. -Oversee the selection of projects for which the company is considering for estimation, in cooperation with the relevant departments. When the decision to start estimation is made, supervise optimal cross-border resource allocation and planning of execution strategies for projects implemented by JGC group companies in order to create sales synergies among group companies. -By ensuring the JGC Group's Code of Conduct and applicable laws and regulations are clearly communicated and followed internally in JGCAP and to other JGC group companies, take the ultimate lead of JGCAP's stable operation and sustainable growth in Singapore and the APAC region. -Implement measures to explore new business opportunities (new customers and new business domain) and build and maintain trusting relationship with new customers, based on the sales strategy. Job Requirement -At least 20 years of experience in the oil & gas related industry, of which at least 10 years in a Senior Manager or equivalent position. Successful candidate is required to have the industry experience within the last 3 years. -More than 20 years of experience in EPC projects in the oil and gas and industrial and urban infrastructure industry as Engineering Manager, PMT, or Sales, including more than 5 projects with a value of USD 300 Million or more. -Experience as an Executive Officer, General Manager, Project Director or equivalent position of a listed company or a group company of a listed company with more than 1000 employees. -Possesses in-depth practical knowledge and understanding of contractual practices and contracts in EPC projects. -In-depth understanding and knowledge of corporate governance required to listed companies in Japan.
