Description of Work The primary purpose of the Vocational Trainer position is to ensure safety and individualized job skill training for the individuals served in the vocational program through direct support and service implementation. The Vocational Trainer position is involved in supporting the individual in all aspects of his/her career development process including the integration of communication, social skills, and community referenced skills into their work routine. The Vocational Trainer is part of a team that provides supports based on individual identified needs/wishes/preferences/strengths and potential for learning. These supports are directed toward enhancing independence and retaining skills that maximize resident self-determination. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $31,200.00 - $46,348.00 A Sign-on bonus of $2,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval. Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs )/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Basic math skills of adding, dividing, calculating percentages, and averaging. Observe resident performance and give feedback. Good verbal and written communication skills. Visual skills to ensure resident safety, perform supervisory responsibilities, and to communicate effectively with residents and staff. Ability to stay organized and to work without direct daily supervision. This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.
