Electrical Applications Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support the design and implementation of critical power infrastructure solutions for data center and mission-critical environments. This role serves as a technical liaison between customers, sales teams, engineering, and operations, ensuring that solutions are designed, documented, and delivered to meet project requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power distribution systems, data center infrastructure, and customer-facing engineering support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience supporting data center electrical infrastructure through applications engineering, field engineering, design engineering, or a similar function.
• At least 2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience.
• Strong understanding of data center electrical systems, including:
• UL 891 switchboards
• Power Distribution Units (PDUs)
• Static Transfer Switches (STSs)
• Redundancy strategies such as N+1 and 2N architectures
• Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically as required.
