Responsibilities

  • Chair commissioning panel meetings, ensuring compliance with BP106 requirements.

  • Approve and sign off final commissioning reports.
  • Extensive experience in high-voltage electrical assets within a transmission or distribution environment.
  • Proven track record of participating in commissioning panels and leading technical decision-making.
  • Holds a BP141 (formerly TP141) CPC authorisation or has previously held the authorisation.
  • Strong understanding of National Grid procedures and project delivery through to commissioning.
  • An organised individual with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Coordinate multiple stakeholders, chair meetings and commissioning workshops, ensure accurate minutes and actions are taken.
  • Location
  • Home based, with the option of working from Omnia offices (Stafford, Stockton Heath, Northallerton), as per project requirements. Must be willing to travel throughout the UK to support project needs.

  • Ideally full time but may consider part time staff positions.

As a Commissioning Panel Chair (CPC) authorised to BP141 you are responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safe and compliant commissioning of equipment in line with BP106. The CPC will chair commissioning panels and hold overall accountability for the commissioning process ensuring that activities comply with National Grid Safety Rules, commissioning handbooks, company policies, and industry regulations.
