Responsibilities

  • Cabin cleaning duties may include
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize passenger cabins, including seats, seatback pockets, tray tables, armrests, overhead bins, carpets, and windows.
  • Clean and disinfect lavatories and galleys; restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, sanitary bags and towels.
  • Empty trash receptacles in lavatories, galleys, and flight deck; ensure proper disposal of waste and handling of biohazard or spill clean-up using PPE and approved disinfectants.
  • Restock cabin items such as pillows, blankets, magazines, amenity kits, and safety cards; maintain inventory of cleaning materials and cabin supplies.
  • Maintain clear communication with flight crews and other ground personnel.
  • Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks.
  • Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier safety and security requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support McGee's successful business operation.

Requirements

  • 6 months of direct work experience in the specific duty (ramp, cabin cleaning, etc).
  • Demonstrated skills in proactive and honest communication, providing direction and allowing team members to execute tasks, setting clear expectations and holding others accountable.
  • Self-motivated, with proven ability to lead and direct the work of others in a positive way.
  • Ability to provide specific and constructive feedback as well as positive recognition.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to work well in a team environment and understand team objectives.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (e.g., counting bags, verifying cargo weights).

  • Ability to understand and interpret flight schedules and airline flight destination information.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to obtain & maintain an airport SIDA badge, US Customs seal, and USPS security clearance.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Previous experience operating airport ground service equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Physical Demands & Work Conditions
  • Lifting/Carrying: Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry baggage and cargo weighing up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds or more. This often involves lifting items onto raised surfaces or into confined aircraft bins.
  • Movement:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and twisting for extended periods (up to 8-hour shifts or more).
  • Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work in cramped or high places.
  • Manual dexterity required for handling documents and operating equipment.
  • Driving/Operating Equipment: Must be able to operate various ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, belt loaders, and baggage carts, which requires a valid driver's license and the physical capability to do so safely.
