About the role
As a Technical Program Manager for component and system validation, you will work cross-functionally with vehicle engineering, suppliers, and the project management team to drive our test planning into tactical and detailed road maps that facilitate effective execution at each stage of our growth curve. You will work with validation and engineering teams to develop schedules, identify milestones, flag risks, estimate budgets, and clearly communicate ongoing progress.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with validation team and engineering teams to understand part availability, part maturity (prototype, early stage sample, etc.), test status and timing across multiple components and subsystems. Manage burndown of the risks on a timely basis.
- Create detailed summaries of testing timelines, issues/risks, progress and accomplishments to be shared with key stakeholders
- Leverage department leaders to translate the top-down corporate strategy and milestones into detailed product roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables
- Deliver technical presentations that explain validation initiatives to consumer teams
- Ensure the validation team understands what they need to deliver at all times. Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress, identify gaps in communication or schedule, provide support to teams balancing competing priorities and drive results.
- Define and manage process and regular meetings.
- Required Skills & Experience
- BS or MS degree in engineering or equivalent job experience
- 2+ years of experience in engineering, program management, or management consulting
- Strong track record of managing complex cross-functional projects
- An ability to keep the big picture in focus and to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audience
Requirements
- Previous experience with requirements management tools such as Polarion and issue management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Previous experience with Change management
- Deep familiarity with automotive development processes

- Salary Range:
- $100,000-115,000
- The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
