Our client's sales team partners with leading institutional investors, including the world's top 100 investment and asset management firms, mutual funds, pension funds, insurance companies, hedge funds, and other large allocators. The team markets a broad range of products across fixed income credit and emerging markets, requiring strong commercial instincts, deep product curiosity, and the ability to build trusted, long term relationships with sophisticated market participants How You'll Help Take Us There Client Development & Relationship Management Lead the development and management of relationships with key Hong Kong-based global SRM clients, driving platform adoption, trading activity, and overall client engagement across the MarketAxess ecosystem. Originate new client relationships and manage, deepen, and retain existing client relationships across all MarketAxess product segments. Effectively position and market MarketAxess products and services to increase client trading activity and achieve volume targets. Manage client relationships in line with MarketAxess' corporate strategy, governance standards, and commercial objectives. Conduct regular client engagement through calls, meetings, and onsite visits; assess engagement effectiveness and adjust coverage accordingly. Travel regionally and internationally as required to visit clients, attend conferences, and engage with MarketAxess offices. Sales Performance & Account Strategy Partner with the Sales team to continuously review the client base, identifying underperforming clients, sectors, and geographies. Prioritise accounts and develop targeted remediation plans to drive improved client engagement and trading activity. Track, manage, and report on progress against account plans and sales initiatives. Participate actively in sales meetings, client events, and internal strategy discussions. Client Onboarding & Enablement Lead the end-to-end client onboarding process, coordinating with Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Sales to ensure timely execution of client documentation. Act as the primary point of coordination across client Front Office, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Back Office teams during onboarding. Manage client training, platform setup, and go-live processes, ensuring clients are fully enabled to trade. Ensure ongoing training needs are met as clients expand product usage or onboard new teams. Client Integration & Retention Lead initiatives to strengthen client "stickiness" by integrating clients into the MarketAxess ecosystem. Drive STP and connectivity solutions to embed MarketAxess into clients' trading workflows and operating models. Internal & Cross-Regional Collaboration Support dealer relationship management initiatives when required, including assisting with onboarding and sector coverage alignment. Collaborate with EMEA and US client, dealer, and product teams to maximise cross-regional product adoption and trading volumes with Asian clients. Participate in client, product management, and cross-regional working groups to support platform development and client needs. Ensure appropriate backup and coverage arrangements are in place during periods of absence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant sales experience within financial markets, including experience at an investment bank, electronic trading platform, market infrastructure provider, or financial technology/data vendor.
  • Strong understanding of Fixed Income market structure and buy‑side/sell‑side interaction.
  • Prior experience selling data, trading technology, or analytics solutions is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification; specialist training is an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across client organisations and internal teams.
