Responsibilities

  • To lead the operations team to ensure effective operation and maintenance of the mall and MCST common areas
  • To develop, manage and execute operations strategies to improve the mall operations
  • To review and improve operations guidelines and to ensure that the mall operates in compliance with requirements, codes and regulations
  • To plan and coordinate maintenance program to ensure that the mall operates as a safe environment as well as performing at optimum level
  • To prepare annual budget, manage and administer contracts and execute works for the operational needs of the mall
  • To set benchmarks for monitoring performance of contractors, including regular inspections to ensure works carried out comply with standards set
  • To assist in the implementation of the Asset Enhancement Initiatives, renovation works carried out by tenants and operational support for the promotional activities of the mall
  • To liaise with Contract & Procurement Team and manage the procurement of all maintenance contracts and, planned & execute cyclical/ad-hoc equipment replacement in the mall.
  • To guide and develop the operations team to maintain professional standards and achieve excellent results on day-to-day operations
  • Part of Environmental Health Safety (EHS) team for review & approval of permit to work (PTWs), risk assessment, safety checks/audits of the mall.

Requirements

  • Degree in Facility Management, Building, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience at the managerial position in a similar capacity
  • Experience in property management or facility management in shopping mall or retail environment will be an added advantage
  • Experience in successful completion of major asset enhancement project will be an added advantage
  • Preferably holding a Fire Safety Manager's Certificate, NEA Environmental Control Officer (ECO) and/or Green Mark Manager's Certificate
  • Exhibit strong leadership, people management and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work within tight timelines, self-driven and resourceful in resolving problems
  • Good command of spoken and written English as well as being computer literate
