Responsibilities

  • Electrical Engineering Support & Guidance: Provide day-to-day technical support to junior and mid-level engineers. Review and guide work on: Electrical schematics, Power distribution designs, Installation concepts and layouts. Promote best practices in electrical design and implementation.

  • System commissioning and testing
  • Help resolve practical, on-site engineering challenges

Requirements

  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals, including: electrical circuits, power systems, and industrial electrical installations.
  • Experience working across system design, Installation, and commissioning.
  • Strong technical understanding of power distribution, electrical schematics, PLC systems and basic control architectures.
  • Experience with safety systems and interlocks.
  • Experience mentoring or leading other more junior engineers.
  • Fluency in English required; German proficiency is a strong plus.

We are seeking a skilled and driven Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team and help us shape the future of energy. In this role, you will own electrical design through its full engineering lifecycle - from early architecture through design, integration, commissioning, and operational readiness - ensuring that it evolves from R&D into a reliable, industrial-grade system for fusion power generation. Your work will directly enable the transition from experimental physics to operational fusion energy infrastructure. This role is focused on providing broad electrical engineering expertise, supporting junior engineers, and ensuring that electrical design, installation, and integration are delivered to a high standard across all projects. The successful candidate will act as a go-to technical reference within the electrical domain, working closely with controls, mechanical, and facilities teams to ensure robust, safe, and well-structured system delivery.
