Responsibilities

  • Reviewing the funds' NAV calculations and year-end financial statements prepared by the fund administrator company (outsourced)
  • Prepare IRR, MoIC, share/price-per-share calculations and the like on a regular and and ad hoc basis at both Fund level and at individual portfolio company level
  • Manage all finance functions related to the Fund Manager and Fund and any of its related entities or affiliates as they arise (e.g., subsequent funds), including handling all bank account transactions and reconciliations
  • Preparing financial statements for tax filing purposes for Singapore, USA, and any future jurisdictions (in coordination with Accounting service providers)
  • Coordinate and drive investor activities, including on-boarding, capital calls, distributions as well as the issuance of shareholder statements
  • Assist with answering enquiries from fund administrators, accountants, auditors, regulators, independent asset appraisers, and more importantly, the Fund investors (LPs). Ensure on-going coordination and thought leadership across all outsourced fund and fund manager service providers
  • Ensuring the Manager and Funds are working within the MAS compliance and anti-money laundering guidelines as well as executing against requests from MAS (compliance matters, surveys, etc.)
  • From time-to-time support the Investment Team on potential investments or portfolio company monitoring as and when the need arises (including that in subsequent funds, for pro-rata subscription rights, divestments etc.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of corporate and/or fund accounting experience in the alternative investment industry
  • Some audit experience will be ideal
  • Graduated with bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Chartered Accountancy qualification such as CA or CPA is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google Docs Editors suite, i.e. Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides
  • Passionate about the start-up scene and venture capital investments
  • Key competencies
  • Results-oriented with high prioritization skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver projects in a timely fashion
  • Must use discretion working with confidential and sensitive information regarding the company, executive management, and investors
  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work well in a team structure yet demonstrate independence with tasks assigned
