About the role

What you need to know: Garanplus currently has a network of more than 230 service centers across Mexico to service a book of business worth more than US$ 14 M per year in extended warranty services and products. This book includes a major presence in the retail market of electrical products and appliances and is strongly related to strategic alliances and relationships with the top 2 retailers in Mexico. Not even strong international brands of electrical products and appliances have developed the service center network developed by Garanplus over a period of more than 20 years. The Extended Warranty line of business in Mexico and LAC is adequately and strongly connected and coordinated with the rest of the portfolio at global level; this includes taking advantage of systems and structure of cutting edge which gives a competitive advantage versus our local and regional competitors. The EW/HO/PP claims manager is expected to lead from the front on key initiatives that support the business equation but also to support the development of talent in terms of technical and customer focus expertise.

Requirements

  • Experience: Strong knowledge and experience in handling retail or similar portfolio in a customer service/operations/product delivery function.
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in the white label industry, preferably in positions related with product delivery, customer service, logistics or after sales structure/services.
  • Minimum 5-7 years in handling teams as people managers, inclusive of proven capabilities for remote management.
  • 3-5 years in the personal lines industry, preferably in claims management but open if experience is in other functions (i.e. UW, operations, etc.)
  • Skills. Proven track record in terms executive communication, problem solving, planning, organization and strategic orientation in complex multi-discipline contexts (operations, claims, commercial, compliance).
  • English fluency that can guarantee effective communication in business environments and situations.
  • Ability to develop business plans and to effectively linked them to the overall strategy of the line of business and the company.
  • High interpersonal communication skills; proven ability to develop networking within prior companies and with the market.
