- Qualifications (New Jersey Certification Alignment)
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Media Production, Film, Music Technology, or related field
- One of the following:
- Valid New Jersey Certificate of Eligibility (CE) , or
- Valid New Jersey Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) , or
- Standard New Jersey Instructional Certificate
- Appropriate endorsement (preferred areas include):
- Technology Education
- Career and Technical Education (CTE)
- Teacher of Broadcasting/Film (or related, if applicable)
- Ability to obtain proper certification in New Jersey if not currently certified
Requirements
- Experience teaching in an urban or charter school setting
- Professional experience in audio engineering, music production, film, or digital media
- Experience with project-based or STEAM-focused instruction
- Familiarity with industry tools such as:
- DAWs (Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton)
- Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition)
- Experience building or managing a media lab or studio
